David Sheegog has created his own backyard Disneyland garden railroad, complete with replica Disneyland trains.  Located in Anaheim (where else?), the layout features scale replicas of Sleeping Beauty’s castle, Thunder Railroad, the Indiana Jones attraction, and the Casey Jones railroad.  You can view photos and videos here.

I ran across an interesting site today about a modeler named John Pitts. He models the Illinois Central, and his site has soem great prototype and weathering information, as well as great photos of his layouts. The layout is highly detailed and great to look at. Take a look!

I ran across this jewelry designers pieces on Boing Boing. Sarah Hood uses, among other things, pieces of model railroad scenery to create her jewelry designs. Her web site states:

“Working with model railroad landscape materials lets me create tiny snapshots of the natural world, scenes that can trick the eyes into believing they are seeing something much larger.”

Today’s featured site is Bob Grech’s Western Pacific Railroad site. The site includes a track layout with links to each image (a la Model Railroader) The detail level on this layout is impressive. His layout was also recently featured in the November 2006 Model Railroader magazine .
