From the La Crosse Tribune: La Crosse police are inestigating the theft of over $700 worth of model railroad equipment from 5 vendors at a local model train show on Saturday March 17. Pretty lame way to get into the hobby!

What: Collis P. Huntington Model Railroad Show
Several operating model railroad layouts, memorabilia, merchandise, collectibles and more.
When: Friday-Sunday, April 27-29
5 to 8 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Where: Dunbar Parks and Recreation Community Center.
How Much: Adults are admitted for $3, and children ages 3-12 are admitted for $2. Train show tables are also available.

Found this site while browsing today: Union Pacific Model Railroad – An N-Scale model railroad. Started in February, it is outlining the whole planning including layouts, track planning, and more.
